  1. Child Internet Safety: Event For Parents and Children

    Nobody better than you explain to the child the rules of behavior in this or that situation. To make it easier for you to navigate in the world of rapidly developing technologies, "IT Rate" and "Web Solutions" bring to your attention some recommendations prepared with the participation of information security specialists, parents, educators and public organizations. Together we can raise a new generation of responsible users. During the event you will learn how to avoid cyberbulling, what you children should know about strangers on the web, useful software to limit unwanted content, what is malware and phishing, how to deal with cyber fraud on the Internet and gaming addiction. Children`s safety is high priority for every parent. To take part in the event fill in the registration form.

  2. Annual Apple Pie Contest

    October 28, 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM @ Chelmsford Public Library

    Join us for the Chelmsford Friends of the Library's Annual Apple Pie Contest at the Main Library! Contestants: Pre-register online Prepare a printed copy of your recipe to submit with the pie, or submit your recipe in advance via email to Jessica at jfitzhanso@chelmsfordlibrary.org Bring pies by 1:30 p.m. Judging will be from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Winners will be announced following the judging with ribbons and prizes awarded. Pies: All pies are to be homemade, with a homemade double crust. Filling is to be just apples (no raisins, cranberries, etc). Recipe must include the type of apple(s) used. The general public will then be invited to feast on apple pie, donuts, and apple cider. (You do not have to enter to come.)

  3. Chelmsford Community Band Presents Fall Concert: “Prost!”

    October 28, 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM @ Chelmsford Senior Center

    The onset of autumn means more than pumpkin spice; it means the beginning of a season of gathering and celebration. Join the Chelmsford Community Concert Band for a selection of songs and dances inspired by Slavic traditions and raise a virtual glass to togetherness. Admission to this concert is free, but the band greatly appreciates donations to help purchase new music and to pay for rehearsal space. Recommended donations are $10 for adults, and $5 for children and seniors. Baked goods and refreshments will be available. The Chelmsford Community Band was founded in 1972 and is a volunteer group of adult musicians who greatly enjoy bringing live music to the greater Chelmsford area. The band plays several concerts throughout the year including weekly appearances on Chelmsford Common every summer. Look for them online at www.chelmsfordcommunityband.com.

  4. Free Classical Music Concert

    October 28, 3:00 PM @ Central Congregational Church

    Peruvian cellist Taide Prieto and Mexican pianist Francisco Fernandez, both graduates of The Boston Conservatory who perform chamber music as the Duo of Hope, will offer a concert of classical works by Bach, Beethoven, Elgar, and others on Sunday, October 28th at 3 p.m. at Central Congregational Church, One Worthen Street, Chelmsford. This performance by the internationally known musicians will be free of charge, though a free-will offering will help support a major Christmas concert slated for December 9th, just after the church choir performs at Carnegie Hall in New York City. The Duo of Hope ensemble, which formed in 2011, has travelled across the United States from Boston to California, in Latin America, and in Europe making appearances in notable venues of the classical music world.
